This hybrid brings together the dark, dramatic characteristics of Black Widow with the rich emergent coloration and crystalline venation of Red Crystallinum. The combination offers the potential for deeply pigmented, velvety foliage with bold contrasting veins and striking red-toned new growth.
Emergent leaves may open in shades of red, burgundy, copper or deep bronze, gradually darkening as they mature. Depending on which parent an individual plant favors, mature foliage may range from rich green to exceptionally dark green or near-black, with prominent silver, pale or reddish venation.
Because this is a hybrid cross, every plant is an opportunity for a unique phenotype. Leaf shape, darkness, emergent color and venation can vary significantly between individuals—and that variability is part of the appeal of growing this cross.
