Silver Dragon Albo Lava brings a completely different look to an already iconic Alocasia. Its signature silver, deeply textured leaves are disrupted by unpredictable flashes and washes of white and creamy albo variegation, creating a dramatic pattern that can look almost as though the color has spilled across the leaf.
The lava-style variegation is what sets this cultivar apart. Instead of relying on clean sectors or traditional blocks of white, the variegation can appear scattered, streaked, marbled and blended throughout the leaf. Against Silver Dragon’s metallic base and dark, sculpted venation, the result can be especially striking.
This is a new cultivar, and mature examples are still limited. Individual plants can develop very differently, and the amount, placement and intensity of albo variegation may change as the plant grows.
